An artist book by French visual artist Noémie Goudal.

This publication is the latest instalment in Goudal’s ongoing large-scale photographic project centred on the history of science and major geological theories. The project originates from an archaeological discovery that revealed the presence of fossils on a mountain summit, prompting a reconsideration of scientific interpretations of the Earth’s formation. By installing thirty mirrors within the landscape, each photograph constructs a scene that operates independently of the viewer’s gaze and imagination. In addition to the main booklet of photographs, the volume comprises a separate booklet containing a sequence of images and theoretical texts, an archive of scientific plates, and a group of images documenting the artist’s perspective.
