An artist’s book created in relation to the group exhibition On the To-Come, held in Aomori from 16 May to 22 June 2026.

The exhibition began with a casual conversation between photographers Naohiro Utagawa and Suguru Ryuzaki around the question, “What if photography disappeared from this world?” Yukihito Kono, artist and founder of IACK, joined them as a co-organiser, and the exhibition was realised in a vacant former karaoke building. Together with Kota Aigase, Yuko Amano, Aya Coizumi, Ryuji Takahara, Ai Tanaka, Yuri Tsuiki, Sachie Noda, Shoko Masunaga and Koji Yamaguchi, twelve artists presented works responding to this question in their own ways.

IACK’s first publication, 2026.6.22 13:30–15:21, brings together still images captured from video footage recorded at the exhibition venue on its final day. Rather than serving as a faithful catalogue of the exhibition, the book reconstructs the movement of a single person ascending the stairs of the building, passing through each floor and eventually leaving the venue. Alongside the exhibited works, the images reveal the building’s distinctive architecture and spatial character, exploring how a book might remember and transmit an exhibition through a different route.

First edition of 300 copies. Copies purchased from IACK come with an exclusive dust jacket.
