Although the contribution is small, IACK is currently carrying out a charity for the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake.
In addition to the sale of charity prints by Yukito Kono in-store and online, as well as the recent in-store event, we will be donating a portion of all sales from our online store from Saturday, January 13th to Sunday, January 21st as a donation to relief efforts.
There is only so much we can do in these circumstances, and there is also a limit to how much individual donations can be made. As a completely privately run business, we are exploring ways to provide support that are not too difficult for each individual, and that will allow us to continue to connect with the victims and affected areas in various ways.

[In-store event] Advance sale of first issue of "ORIGO Journal"
The first issue of "ORIGO Journal," a journal by Matteo Alberti, will be available for pre-sale at IACK stores for two days, December 9th (Sat) and December 10th (Sun).
Matteo Alberti is the chef behind ORIGO @origo.restaurant, a small townhouse restaurant in Kanazawa. Since its inception, ORIGO has delved deep into the art of food, researching local specialties and traditional ingredients. However, the joy of discovering traditional recipes, personal stories, and the culture and history that surround them has been intense, but it has also been a bittersweet reminder that they are at high risk of disappearing forever.
This new journal is a project to raise awareness of the existence of handcrafted products, traditional crafts, communities, and artisans, which are becoming increasingly endangered. The magazine will be produced with a consistent attention to detail, including by hand, and the proceeds will be used to publish the magazine twice a year. This process will ultimately lead to the preservation of culture and support for local artisans, farmers, hunters, and others.
This inaugural issue focuses on Makiburi, a preserved food that has been handed down in the Oku-Noto region since ancient times.
Matteo Alberti will also be present on Sunday from 2pm to 4pm, so please take this opportunity to visit us.

We will be exhibiting at "AB&C (Art Books & Crafts)", an event organized by "CYRO", a free space based in Nomi City, Ishikawa Prefecture.
The event will feature exhibits from within and outside the prefecture, local artists, and food.The "Dead Future Tour" at IACK is still fresh in our memory.The Future Publishing & DEAD will also be participating, so we welcome not only those who live in the area, but also those who come from far away to make a short trip and come along.

[AB&C] is an event held in Hida Takayama by art book and craft artists. "We want to enjoy the charm of 'art books', which enable art experiences through casual reading experiences." The first event will have participants from all over Japan and overseas, and five art book booths and works by local craft artists will be lined up at the venue. In autumn in Hida Takayama, you can face books and works with your own eyes and encounter something special. Art books, limited edition zines, print works, crafts...original works will be on display for two days.
