Traducing Ruddle by Mark Manders

Roma Publications

A tabloid by Dutch artist Mark Manders.

This fictional newspaper was one of the sculptures featured in his 2006 exhibition at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, and was created specifically for a papier-mâché piece, which has since developed into an ongoing series. The newspaper is composed of every word in the English language. Manders took the included photographs in his studio, primarily portraying the dust he found there.

This fifth installment in the newspaper series, along with a 48-page insert titled Two Connected Houses, was distributed free of charge via newsboxes in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside from February to March.

This is Roma Publications’ 133rd title. The typography by Hans Gremmen, graphic designer and founder of Fw: Books.
