There is nothing outside the window. Or everything. It is the same. |
IACK is pleased to present “There is nothing outside the window. Or everything. It is the same.”, a solo exhibition by Yukihito Kono.
The exhibition brings together “The Possibility of Balance”, a photographic work presented in 2026; “There is nothing outside the window. Or everything. It is the same.”, an installation using ping-pong balls; and “Holes”, a new video work.
The wishes and beliefs invested in standing eggs upright. Images that may be forming inside ping-pong balls whose interiors remain out of sight. And holes in the walls and ceilings of buildings.
Despite our desire and efforts to explain everything, our society has always encompassed realms that remain unseen. As technology advances, we continue to live without fully grasping the world, imagining what we cannot see and sometimes believing in it. Taking the uncertainty of seeing as its starting point, the exhibition explores the realms of cognition and imagination through photography, installation and video.
Selected works will be available for purchase at the venue, alongside the artist’s book “2026.6.22 13:30–15:21” (IACK, 2026), which extends the ideas explored across this body of work. We hope you will take this opportunity to visit.
