Studies of the Female Form by Duncan Hannah
A collection of works by American artist Duncan Hannah.
Calling himself an "idiosyncratic" painter, Hannah emerged from the midst of the then-heavenly New York punk scene as a plastic artist obsessed with painting technique and dedicated to reviving the tradition of narrative in painting. His work reflects the traditions and influences of not only the leading British artists of the mid-20th century, but also American masters Edward Hopper and Winslow Homer, as well as such solitary artists as Balthus and Fairfield Porter.
This book is the latest in a series of drawings, paintings and photography produced by Dashwood Books in softcover novel format since 2012. It features drawings made in a variety of mediums over the past decade.
Limited to 500 copies.
