Stabs At Academia With Painters Tools by Ryan Gander

A collection of works by British artist Ryan Gander.

The book is based on the vintage classic edition of Italian national novelist Italo Calvino's 1979 novel A Wandering Wanderer. The novel is reimagined using the font "Set in Stone," conceived by Gander and created by Adrien Vasquez of John Morgan Studio. The font was designed based on stones that Gander's children collected from the beach near their home, and Gander painted over the finished book using calligraphy inks and brushes.

1,000 copies were produced, of which 500 were distributed free of charge to libraries, hospitals, hotels, lighthouses, waiting rooms, prisons, etc.
