Photographs by Jack Davison
*Restock
A collection of works by British artist Jack Davison.
This book brings together as one series the results of Davison's ongoing experiments with images, which he has been working on since 2007. The self-taught photographer follows his intuition and natural instincts like a painter, taking photographs that unearth the surreal and sensual buried in the everyday. Images of hands and eyes appear repeatedly in his works - a clenched fist, a hand caressing a face, eyes glaring from inside a sign, eyes sparkling through a mirror - and these two motifs symbolize the powerful tension between seeing and feeling, and the boundaries between perception and imagination.
