A collection of works by Chinese photographer Lin Zhipeng (aka No.223).

Lin began posting photos and texts on his blog in 2003, and became known primarily through the internet community. He later gained wider recognition through self-publishing and publishing photo books, and like the late Ren Hang, he is one of China's leading photographers of the 2000s, exerting a major influence on subsequent generations.

This book compiles photographs taken during a four-day stay at the Grand Amour Hotel in Paris in 2018 as part of a commissioned project, and then exhibited at the hotel.

"I am like a waiter with a special status. At this point, I am a stranger, a creator of tastes and emotions, a voyeur into the next room, or simply someone who uses the camera to invade others. Young, fresh bodies enter and leave. Our only communication is the narration of the camera's shutter and roundabout conversations. This is a colorful room full of invisible desires and slow indolence. Because this is not an oppressive relationship, the bodies appear as still lifes or dreams."
