0N0E by Linn Phyllis Seeger ✈️
A collection of works by German artist Linn Phyllis Seeger.
The title of this book, "0N0E," refers to the coordinates of the fictitious island "Null Island,"* which is said to be the most geotagged* island in history. Like her previous work, the images that make up this work are all iPhone-based, many of which include screenshots from her own social media stories. They highlight the ambiguity of the boundaries between the individual and the public, and between the self played for a digital audience and the 'real' unified sovereign self.
Using deformed uncut binding. First edition of 500 copies.
* Geotag: Location information data that can be used when posting photos, videos, etc. on SNS.
*Null Island: If an error occurs in the coding when geotagging, the location with 0 degrees longitude and 0 degrees latitude will be tagged as "Null Island". Geographers and internet users shared the island as an inside joke, and even created history, flags, and maps for the fictional Nuru Island Republic.
