Trophies by Simone Bergantini

A collection of works by Italian photographer Simone Bergantini.

This book features two of Burgantini's projects, "Trophies" and "The Golden Path."

The former is a work that reconstructed over 300 used trophies purchased at an online auction. By modifying trophy cups, which are symbols of victory, the artist expresses the way modern people reconstruct and share their private lives on social media as if they were the winners of life. While trophies are the result of victory, the latter includes drawings of sculptures that use fitness equipment as a motif to represent the process of achieving success. A 24-karat sculpture based on these drawings was then produced and exhibited.
