Ex Nihilo by Daniel Shea & OK-RM

A collection of works by UK-based design unit OK-RM and American photographer Daniel Shea.

This book, titled "Ex Nihilo", which means "Out of Nothing" in Latin, was commissioned by the fashion brand "1017-ALYX-9SM". Thoroughly pursuing an innovative production process and diverse output, it is produced as a fiction that unravels the mystery that various things seem to appear from "nothing".

The share is a photograph of how the natural materials that are the raw materials of the clothes made by "1017-ALYX-9SM" create structures. Produced as a publication of "InOtherWords". Offset and lithography are used for printing, and the image is organically generated by overlapping the two printing techniques on paper. It is finished like an installation using the format of a book. At the men's collection in Paris in January 2019, models walked the runway with the book as part of their styling.
