(Signed) Compost Pictures 2008 – 2009 by Nigel Shafran

This is a collection of works published in conjunction with the solo exhibition "Compost Pictures," held in 2010 at the Charleston art center in East Sussex, England.

Shafran has previously used his home as the setting for his work, but in this book he focuses on food waste stored in a compost bowl in the corner of the kitchen. The result is an interesting composition of vegetables and kitchen utensils arranged like a sculpture or installation, and although it is a small work, it is a book that allows you to enjoy the artist's sharp perspective and humor.
