This book contains a selection of the finest photographs from the vast collection of photographs Steinmetz took in Paris, a city he visited repeatedly over the course of more than 25 years. Paris is where his mother was born and raised, and Steinmetz feels a special connection and affinity with the city. In its streets, parks and along the Seine, Steinmetz plays with the traditions of the great giants of photography born in Paris, from Atget to Kertesz. It is classic, but also has elements that update traditions, with a contemporary feel that follows the path that the author has established in his other photo books.
