Lost and Found by James Perols

Self Published

A collection of works by London-based British photographer James Perols.

This is the second self-published work by James Pelorus, known for his photographs that look like scenes from a movie. In this work, Pelorus' photographs are combined with fashion inspired by the upbringing of Dean Davis, who styled the models, to create a fictional fashion story. Through the aesthetics of British fashion in the 2000s, the book depicts a complex story of "friendship" in a cinematic way. It goes without saying that the sense of color is reminiscent of the films of Sofia Coppola and others, but it is also interesting to occasionally catch glimpses of the unsettling quality of staged photography created by Jeff Wall and Philip-Lorca diCorcia.

First edition limited to 250 numbered copies. Out of print.
