The photography magazine Camera Austria International, first published in 1980, has been promoting research and the spread of photography not only in Austria but also internationally through numerous exhibitions and symposiums. Seiichi Furuya, who moved to Graz, Austria in 1975, was one of the founders of the group, and made a major contribution as a bridge between the two countries, realizing large-scale solo exhibitions in Europe by Daido Moriyama, Shomei Tomatsu, and Nobuyoshi Araki, as well as holding exhibitions in Japan by European photographers to introduce their unique style. This book unravels the history of Camera Austria, focusing on the views of artists who have been involved in the magazine through exhibitions and contributions, and also explaining the artistic contexts and changes that influenced the group.
On Seiichi Furuya's page"AMS"has been featured.
