Shūshū: Matchboxes from Kikuko Obachan's Collection by Yukihito Kono
A privately published zine by Japanese photographer Kono Yukito.
This book features a collection of matchboxes that belonged to the author's great-aunt.
"I found these matchboxes a few years ago while cleaning the house of my great-aunt, where I now live. The collection, neatly stored in a sweet box, has no particular historical or market value, but it seemed to her that they were special for personal reasons. I was attracted to the value of such irreplaceable small items."
A handmade zine limited to 30 copies. The page order is different for each copy.
This hand made zine contains a collection of matchboxes my great aunt put in a baked sweets box. I found this box several years ago while cleaning out her house, where I live with my family now. This collection has no specific historical nor any market value, but was special to her for some personal reason. I was attracted to such value of these tiny things that can't be replaced to anything else.
First h and-made zine edition of 30 copies. Each copy has different page orders.
