Organized as a research document, it includes numerous sources, including scripts, excerpts from writer's notebooks, press reviews, correspondence, photo documentation, literary excerpts, contextualizing texts by the artist, diagrams, film stills, floor plans, and musical scores. While the publication is an artist's book in itself, readers can learn from the rich material available about Rainer's working methods and the social and political context in which her works were created.
