A collection of works by French artist Sophie Calle.

Calle's solo exhibition Absence was held at the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam, Netherlands, from March 27 to May 29, 1994. The exhibition included a guided tour of the exhibition using a Walkman.American artistBy Laurie AndersonThe audience walked through the museum, which was dotted with Calle's personal belongings and autobiographical notes, accompanied by music and Calle's voice talking about the exhibits. This book was produced as an artist book that brings together the objects and their accompanying texts, in order to convey the characteristics of the exhibition to readers after the exhibition. It is composed of photographs and texts of items related to Calle's personal life and work, and comes with an audio CD in which Calle talks about the exhibits in English, along with Anderson's music, just like the exhibition.
