The first issue features new works by Miyagi Futoshi, Kono Yukito, Isotani Hiroshi, Ide Kenji, Chen Chuqiao, Usui Yui, and Tanizawa Sawako.Limited to 300 copies, signed and numbered by the artist.

"A kairanban is a folder that is passed from one household in a neighborhood to another, sharing useful information and local news. Following this circular, collaborative pattern, Kairanban brings together new works by a group of Japan-based artists, each of whom passes the baton to a self-selected 'neighbor.' Over the course of several issues, Kairanban aims to offer a map of the Japanese art scene; a map that is conceived not by geographical, institutional, generational or other logics, but rather by the interplay of selective affinities.
