The City And All It Holds by Roni Ahn

Self Published

A collection of works by Roni Ahn, a photographer based in London and Hong Kong.

I think it's important to pay attention to the existence and environment around us in an age when the connections between people are becoming weaker. Born in South Korea and raised in Hong Kong, the coronavirus pandemic prompted Ahn to make that decision and head to her hometown of Hong Kong.

"When the COVID-19 pandemic started last year, I returned to my hometown of Hong Kong to support the young people of Hong Kong and their closest lover, family, friends, and their loved ones. I documented various relationships such as the surrounding landscape. In a time when it is often difficult to visit loved ones and the loneliness is increasing, it is meaningful to photograph the human connection with those closest to us. The series, which spans 10 groups, is filmed in different parts of Hong Kong, each of which holds special significance to their relationship." - Roni Ahn
