Extreme Tourism by Thomas Mailaender
A collection of works by French photographer Thomas Mailaender.
My render mainly collects and saves images found on the Internet. One day, he learned of the existence of Hawaii-based photographer Steve Young, who collects information on volcanic eruptions. In addition to his impressive gallery of volcano photography, his website has a section called "Volcano Fantasy Photo Business" that seems to resonate perfectly with Mylander's world of work. For a few bucks, Young offers a composite keepsake that looks like he's explored the most dangerous flanks of the crater. Mayrender decided to wear his own Aloha shirt and participate in his proposed work.
