Your Blues by Michael Schmelling

A collection of photographs by American photographer Michael Schmelling.

Commissioned by the Museum of Contemporary Photography, Schmeling photographed the music scene in his hometown of Chicago, and spent 18 months alone, traveling night after night from Chicago's basement shows to recording studios, to create this extensive documentary.

At the end of the book, there is an original essay by Tim Kinsella, a member of Cap'n Jazz and Joan of Arc and a living witness to the Chicago music scene.
