(Reprint) Parallel Encyclopedia #1 by Batia Suter
A collection of works by Dutch and Swiss-based artist Batia Suter.
This book contains a series of works produced between 2004 and 2007 by the author, who builds a huge archive by collecting and scanning all kinds of images. Suter argues that intuitively linking discovered images to new contexts can provoke surprising responses and meaningful possibilities. In this work, as the title of "Parallel Encyclopedia" suggests, images quoted from various books that were originally not directly intersected are arranged over about 600 pages.
A reprint of a popular out-of-print book published in 2007. This collection of works is like a jewel box filled with the wonders and charms of this world that will make your imagination leap every time you turn the page.
