No More No Less by Thomas Sauvin & Kensuke Koike
A collection of works by Beijing-based French collector/artist Thomas Sauvin (Thomas Sauvin) and Venetian-based Japanese artist Kensuke Koike.
In 2015, Sauvan happened to come across an album produced by Shanghai University photography students in the early 80s. The album contained original negatives, silver halide prints, and peer-reviewed comments by a supposed professor, showing the student's efforts to master conventional portraiture techniques. Sauvin and Koike established the rule of "no more no less", that nothing should be added or subtracted, and challenged the possibility of developing a single image using a cutter and tape.
This is a very unique collection of works that combines a fold-out bellows book and a saddle-stitched booklet.
Limited to 400 copies. Comes with a slipcase.
