IACK is pleased to announce the co-organised exhibition "Between Branches", in collaboration with Kanazawa-based spaces FOC and NN.

"PRESEN TATION" is a project that reimagines the museum not merely as a place for display, but as a place where something is born.

In this edition, three art spaces in Kanazawa—NN, IACK, and FOC—each offer their perspective on this idea, presenting a cross-section of their respective practices. At the venue, Theatre 21, practitioners who sustain Kanazawa's cultural scene will engage in conversation in a radio program-like format, while a diverse range of spaces centred on Kanazawa will participate as exhibitors. Through the interweaving of narrative and practice, voice and place, the philosophies behind each space, the day-to-day activities that define them, and the human relationships that sustain them all come into vivid, three-dimensional relief.

This third edition, "PRESEN TATION – VOL.3 'Between Branches'," turns its focus to the many different kinds of spaces scattered throughout Kanazawa. Among them are places—and the people who run them—that operate according to their own distinct values, stepping just outside the boundaries of established institutions and conventional distribution networks. These spaces have given rise to countless side stories within this city. They do not exist in isolation; they branch out and chain together, drawing in new voices and personalities, and continue to evolve to this day.

What takes place here is not a mere introduction or announcement. It is an attempt to share the question, "How is expression being generated here, right now?" and to use the museum as a medium through which the practices and voices dispersed throughout the city can be temporarily, yet meaningfully, reconnected.
