IACK is pleased to present a small special feature on collections of works by contemporary artist Mark Manders, published by the independent Dutch publisher Roma Publications.
Roma Publications was founded in 1998 by artists Mark Manders and Marc Nagsam, and graphic designer Roger Willems, and although it is an independent publishing company, it continues to be at the forefront of the global publishing scene.
The experiments and practices that Mark Manders and Roma Publications have conducted together have not only played an important role in shaping their style and approach to art, but can also be seen as having further expanded the possibilities of artist books as alternative works and spaces, which conceptual artists of the 1970s had discovered.
In addition to previously published and new books prepared for the talk event by Roger Willems held on December 7th, this special feature will also exhibit and sell rare titles specially donated by Roma Publications.
