Rainer is widely recognised for her groundbreaking contributions to postmodern dance, known for her provocative, experimental, and often minimalist aesthetic. Her essay in this volume reflects on her practice through the lens of ageing—considering the challenges and insights of continuing to move as an older dancer aware of her physical limits.
