Cloud Service by Batia Suter

A collection of works by Batia Suter, an artist based in the Netherlands and Switzerland.

As with previous projects, Suter is interested in the visual dialogue that emerges when images are placed in new contexts, and here she focuses on clouds and cloud-suggesting forms. Drawing from natural history reference books, encyclopedias and a vast personal library of flea market finds, Suter finds a fascinating combination of "non-art" images that she intuitively brings together. The photographs resonate with each other in complex new ways, forming new synapses of meaning.
