One step before ending by Rei
A collection of works by Rei, a Japanese photographer based in Vienna and Berlin.
"There is a space that seems to swallow you up. The landscape is made up of countless beings that are more vague and cannot be grasped by the naked eye, rather than visible beings. I photographed the moment when something that appears in the light disappears into the darkness, perceiving it as 'one step before the end.' People only look at the parts of the photograph that have been given shape by the light, and continue to ask what is in the photograph. However, I want to show that there are beings in this world that are more vague and cannot be categorized into words or shapes." (Excerpt from the included text)
