A collection of works by Swiss photographer Walter Pfeiffer.
Walter Pfeiffer has been active since the early 1970s, but was largely unknown to the public until the publication of his collection "Welcome Abroad: Photographs 1980-2000" in 2001. On the other hand, his portraits of young people and still lifes, taken in a style full of wit, playfulness and experimental spirit, have attracted great support from artists such as Wolfgang Tillmans, Juergen Teller, Terry Richardson, and Ryan McGinley, and he now enjoys cult popularity as a photographer who is at the origin of great photographers who built an era. This book contains about 100 photographs, mainly unpublished works, from portraits of women taken by Pfeiffer. Even in the 2020s, it does not become outdated, and you can discover elements that resonate with contemporary photography every time you open the book.
