An Unreliable Guidebook To Jewellery by Lisa Walker

Perimeter Editions/RMIT Design Hub Gallery

A collection of works by New Zealand jewelry artist Lisa Walker.

This book furthers Walker's engagement with how her internationally acclaimed work can be framed within the career-long question of "What is jewellery?". Originally published in conjunction with her 2019 retrospective, "She wants to go to her bedroom but she can't be bothered", at RMIT Design Hub Gallery, Melbourne, this new edition was produced as the closing exhibition at Te Uruwaitakere Contemporary Gallery. The narrative that emerges throughout the book offers an open-ended exploration of Walker's work across different periods, with many digressions, and repeatedly returns to key themes within the field of jewellery.

Second edition, 750 copies.
