A Magazine Curated by Maison Martin Margiela - Limited Edition
A limited reissue of "A Magazine Curated By Maison Martin Margiela," which has been out of print for a long time.
The magazine was first published in 2004, and since its first issue, After N°A, N°B, N°C, N°D, and N°E, this is the first issue to have the name of the house in the title. This also represents Margiela's spirit of valuing teamwork. Margiela's suggestive curation reveals the presence of anonymous collaborators who are indispensable to the creation of the house, who worked behind the scenes. This magazine does not only focus on Margiela himself, but also tries to revive the work of the house as a team on the pages through the words, photos, and videos left by all the people involved with the house, such as staff, interns, models, artists, photographers, musicians, set designers, and filmmakers. This magazine also makes it clear that the Dadaist expression of deconstruction, which "destroys old structures and creates new structures," which was permeated all the activities of the house, from clothes to photography, casting, and communication, has not lost its uniqueness even in modern times. From the paper to the printing, it is an exact reproduction of the first edition, and the back cover contains an explanatory note about this reprint project written by the current editorial department.
This reprint comes with one of the following photoprints (240 mm x 180 mm / unsigned) by Mark Borthwick, Anders Edström, Marina Faust, Jonathan Hallam, Ola Rindal, or Ronald Stoops. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this magazine will be donated through the publisher to the charities "Sea Watch" and "RIACE", which support migrants and refugees who cross the Mediterranean Sea and flee to European countries.
