0334475540 ZINE_2 Annual Visual Collection
This is the second issue of "0334475540 ZINE," a self-published zine by stylist Kimie Hata.
The first issue of the series was published in 1994 and continued until the third issue in 1996.
Although it is a stapled booklet bearing the name Zine, it is large in size (390 x 280 mm) and contains works by a very impressive cast of artists. From fashion designers, illustrators, street artists to academic conceptual artists... the lineup was collected based on personal taste without discrimination regardless of genre or generation, and the uniqueness of using the term Zine as early as 1994 resulted in a chaotic ``officially made bootleg Zine.'' It could be said to be an out-of-place project that could only have been realized in Japan at the time, when magazines were driving culture.
