"Daido hysteric no.4" is a photobook published in 1993 by Japanese fashion brand "Hysteric Glamour" in a limited edition of 300 copies. Daido Moriyama's photobooks "Light and Shadow" (1982) and "Farewell Photography" (1972) had a significant impact on designer Nobuhiko Kitamura, who approached Moriyama with an offer to publish a photobook. Moriyama, who wanted to compose only vertical photographs, spent about a year and a half taking a huge number of photographs for this book. Although only 300 copies were published, the existence of Daido Moriyama as an author became more widely known than ever before, not only among existing photography fans but also among fashion lovers and overseas audiences. This book, which will be a reprint, has been dismantled and scanned from the original version at the time and has been produced with the aim of reprinting to the highest standard possible by today's standards.
