(2006 New Edition) Adieu A X by Takuma Nakahira

Photobook by Japanese photographer Takuma Nakahira.

After losing part of his memory and language ability due to acute alcohol poisoning, Nakahira continued to create works that denied the concept of "Are Bure Boke." This book is entirely shot in monochrome negatives, and while it is an extension of his previous work, "新たなる凝視 (New Gaze)" (1983), it also gives the impression that he is searching for a middle ground between his earlier works. You can also feel the overlap between Daido Moriyama's hardships and revival steps in the 10 years from "Farewell Photography" (1972) to "Light and Shadow" (1982).

Match & Company's Satoru Machiguchi is in charge of the cover design for this newly reprinted edition. The body was also changed from soft cover to hard cover.

─ Why did I decide to title this book ``Adieu a X''? To many "pictures" in this world and to various people. I dare say that I thought that this would be my last photo book, and suddenly I remembered "Abayo X" in French and decided on this title. ─Takuma Nakahira (From Afterword)

Condition: Very Good. Missing Obi-band. There are little dirt in the endpapers, scratches as a result of aging, and scratches, but the book is in very good condition
