(Signed) Torshovtoppen by Marte Aas
A poster book by Norwegian artist Marte Aas.
This is a poster book produced and exhibited in conjunction with a 16-mm colour film about the Torshoftoppen district of Oslo, documenting an old public garden at the moment when the site was sold to a private investor. The questioning of ideologies related to the privatisation of public space and urban planning is brought to life through subtle traces of film and photography, leading to a negotiation of how cities are read, identified, and classified. The photographs are cleverly laid out to be read both as a large poster (approximately A1 size) and as a book.
Limited to 500 copies, out of print.
