(With Signed Print) The Brightest Light Runs Too Fast by Ren Hang
A photo book by Chinese photographer and poet Ren Hang.
Based in Beijing, China, where the state has strict censorship, Ren Hang has been actively producing nude photographs focusing on the bodies of young people. From the country's performance art to photographers such as Ryan McGinley who dominated the 00s, and fashion photographers such as Guy Bourdin, he has greedily absorbed all works, and his photographs, which fully reflect his influences, have an overwhelming energy. This book is an edition published by the French publisher "Editions Bessard", and the cover is printed with a special method that makes the photo appear when heated. Along with the photographs, which combine contradictory boldness and delicacy, Ren Hang's beautiful poem "The Brightest Light Runs Too Fast" is included.
Limited to 500 copies. Includes a signed and numbered C-print by the artist.
