A collection of works by Vienna and Berlin-based artists Hanna Putz and Sophie Thun.

This book is composed of two photographs taken by friends Patz and Tung at the same time, juxtaposed on a double page spread. The adjacent photographs have been cropped so that they have the same composition. In the history of photography, women have been treated as "muses," and as objects to be looked at, they have been exposed to the one-sided gaze of the photographer and the viewer. Like their predecessors who took advantage of such social and individual unconsciousness to express themselves, in this book the two launch a brilliant counterattack that makes use of the characteristics of photography and books. When you turn over the cover of "White Flag," that is, the white flag, the direction of the lenses pointed at each other overlaps with the subject = viewer = photographer, and we are trapped in a world where we are constantly looking and being looked back at. This is a collection of sharp works that refers to such unconscious gazes and oppression while having the fun of a game that involves the viewer.
