Tokyo Newspaper by Mark Manders and Marije Langelaar

A tabloid-style publication by Dutch artist Mark Manders and poet Marije Langelaar.

Tokyo Newspaper was created for the exhibition Territory: Contemporary Art from the Netherlands, held at Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery in 2000. The work combines photographs capturing quiet, incidental moments in public spaces across Tokyo with Japanese translations of Langelaar’s poems. Spontaneous in nature, the publication distills the essence of Manders’ practice into a concise and fragmentary form.

This is the 16th title published by Roma Publications.
