Mexico by Mark Cohen
A collection of works by American photographer Mark Cohen.
This book features photographs taken in three Mexican cities between 1981 and 2003. Fascinated by the country's surrealist cityscapes and culture, Cohen visited Mexico frequently. While his signature low-angle and close-up shots, which make extensive use of strobes, are still present in the book, there are also many classical images, highlighting Cohen's outstanding side as a photographer.
Perhaps because the images were taken in fragments over a long period of time, the orderly yet deliberately disruptive design is striking.
