A collection of works by American photographers Larry Sultan and Mike Mandel.

This book contains a selection of photographs (evidence) used in documents based on records and facts from a total of 2 million archive photos from private companies, U.S. government agencies, educational institutions, medical institutions, research institutes, police, NASA, etc. The reference sources include Bechtel Corporation, one of the world's largest construction companies, the Los Angeles Police Department, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, which is involved in the research, development and operation of NASA's unmanned probes, the U.S. Department of the Interior, and the Stanford Research Institute (now SRI International).

This important work can be seen as the origin of the style of expression using found photos and archive photographs that has become mainstream in recent years.
