This book, the third in a series about his partner, Ruth, consists of photographs taken between 1995 and January 26, 2004, of scenes of her on the phone. The book is not only interesting as a personal documentary but also reveals the uniqueness and interest of telephone communication through Shafran's unique perspective, including her facial expressions and gestures during the call, the telephone line stretching like a cup-and-string telephone, and the existence of the other side of the receiver, which is not shown on the phone.
