Thee Almighty and Insane: Chicago Gang Business Cards From The 1960s & 1970s by Brandon Johnson
A collection of works by American collector Brandon Johnson.
This book contains facsimiles of business cards actually used by Chicago gangsters in the 1960s and 1970s. When Johnson was in elementary school, he found a business card in his father's luggage. He was convinced by his father's explanation that it was "something a friend from art school had made as a prank," and he forgot about it. However, as an adult, he encountered the card again when he visited his parents' house. This time, he researched it himself and found out that it was a business card that had belonged to Chicago gangsters. Since then, Johnson has collected such cards, and his collection has been published as a book.
