"Daido hysteric no.4" is,In 1993This photo book was published by the Japanese fashion brand Hysteric Glamour in a limited edition of 300 copies. Designer Kitamura Nobuhiko was deeply impressed by Daido Moriyama's photo books "Light and Shadow" (1982) and "Goodbye Photography" (1972), and approached Moriyama with an offer to publish a photo book. Moriyama, who wanted to compose the book only with vertical photographs, spent about a year and a half taking a huge number of photos for this book. Although only 300 copies were published, the existence of Daido Moriyama as an artist has become more widely known than ever before, not only among existing photography fans, but also among fashion lovers and overseas audiences. This reprint edition was produced by disassembling and scanning the original version at the time, aiming to reproduce it to the highest standard possible under current standards.
