Neighborhood Stroll by David Brandon Geeting
A collection of works by American photographer David Brandon Geeting.
This book contains photographs taken in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, where Geeting lives. He takes straight snapshots of human-made traces in the landscape, such as electric wires, empty cans, colorful street signs, pasta containers and window displays. Originally known for his studio photography and his style of processing with Photoshop, the digital snapshots he takes are digital technology permeating everyday life rather than discovering details with a camera that transcends the human eye. You can feel the layered structure of the image as if you were looking at a monitor, which is unique to modern society.
Limited to 1000 copies. A poster is included as part of the cover.
