Light and Shadow by Moriyama Daimichi

冬樹社

A collection of works by Japanese photographer Daido Moriyama.

In 1972, Moriyama questioned and explored photography to its limits in "Goodbye Photography," but then fell into an intense slump. After 10 years, he was finally able to overcome this slump by returning to the theme of "light and shadow," the origin of photography and the foundation of its phenomena. The trajectory of his exploration, failure, and comeback in "Japanese Photo Theater" (1968), "Goodbye Photography" (1972), and this film are moving.
