Grass by Michele Tagliaferri

A collection of works by Italian photographer Michele Tagliaferri.

Every photograph, by its very nature, is produced to reproduce an image. A face, a story, a landscape, is framed and permanently fixed in the four corners of the print. But how wonderful it would be if we could somehow open these corners, destroy the boundaries of the photograph and return the image to the world from which it came. Every object, person, image is forced into a cornered form, but if we can somehow scratch the surface that encases it, we can grasp the energy stored within it: an invincible energy that creates, transforms and destroys the life that surrounds us. The photographs in GRASS are searching for this energy, just like us.
