Artist Talk: Rie SUZUKI - "It was dark that night and we made it through the woods by touch"
©︎Rie Suzuki 2021IACK will be holding a talk event with photographer Rie Suzuki as guest.
From November 6th, Rie Suzuki's solo exhibition "It was dark that night and we made it through the woods by touch" is being held at the curated space "NN" in Kanazawa City. In conjunction with the exhibition, the most substantial and ambitious collection of Suzuki's works to date,Collectionhas been published.
At this event, which will be his first appearance in two years, he will move between the two venues, "NN" and "IACK," in turn. Kono Yukito, who edited the collection that was produced this time, will talk about his new works, which, although they have the same work and title, are expressed in two different forms, an exhibition and a book.
After the talk at IACK, in addition to the new book, we will also be selling some of Suzuki's previous zines, so please take this opportunity to visit us.

Rie SUZUKI
Photographer. Graduated from the Musashino Art University Graduate School of Art and Design, Department of Photography, Design, in 2010. Currently based in Tokyo. While taking photos on a daily basis, he creates photographic works inspired by fantasy and science fiction movies, and presents them as exhibitions and photo books. He also works as a hand-printing lab for film photos, etc., called "Big Sombrero."
