From The Archives: Yukihito Kono

From January 28th (Sat), we will be exhibiting some of the archives, including artist books created by photographer Yukihito Kono in the past, as well as prints, at the IACK store.

Prints are not only framed items with editions, but also open edition prints and test pieces made in the past.

Although it is not an exhibition, it will be a valuable opportunity to see images and archives from various series in one place, so please come and visit us.

Yukihito Kono/Yukihito Kono
Born in 1989 in Kanazawa. He moved to England in 2011 and majored in photography at the London College of Communication. His 2014 work "Raster" was selected as one of the best books of the year by Photo-eye, an American photography gallery. He explores the possibilities of storytelling through photography in the modern world and creates works in artist books and installations on the theme of the effects of images in society. In addition to his activities as a photographer, he participates in art book fairs in various countries and writes. In 2017, he opened his own atelier/gallery/bookshop, IACK, in Kanazawa under the concept of an "open study." He exhibits, sells, and distributes works and collections of works by domestic and foreign artists.

Yukihito Kono
Photographer based in Kanazawa Japan
Yukihito Kono was born in 1989 in Kanazawa, Japan. He studied fine art photography at the London College of Communication, and his artist book "Raster" was selected as one of the best books of the year by Photo-eye, an American photography gallery in 2014. Kono explores the possibilities of storytelling through photography in our time, and the effects of images in society through artists' books and installations. 2017, he opened his own studio/gallery/bookshop, “IACK“ in Kanazawa Japan.
